Yule Pudding

Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup ground suet
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2-2.5 cups flour
  • cinnamon to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil lots of water.
  2. Grease and flour 2 coffee cans
  3. Mix together all ingredients.
  4. Pour batter into coffee cans, cover with aluminum foil held on with a string.
  5. Place cans in a large pot and fill the pot with boiling water about halfway up the cans.
  6. Steam for 2.5 hours.
  7. Serve warm slices covered with the sauce below.

Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • cinnamon to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring the water and sugar to a boil.
  2. Mix together the flour and cinnamon and use it to thicken the sugar and water solution.
