Yule Pudding
Pudding
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup ground suet
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup sour milk
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2-2.5 cups flour
- cinnamon to taste
Instructions
- Boil lots of water.
- Grease and flour 2 coffee cans
- Mix together all ingredients.
- Pour batter into coffee cans, cover with aluminum foil held on with a
string.
- Place cans in a large pot and fill the pot with boiling water about
halfway up the cans.
- Steam for 2.5 hours.
- Serve warm slices covered with the sauce below.
Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 cups of water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- cinnamon to taste
Instructions
- Bring the water and sugar to a boil.
- Mix together the flour and cinnamon and use it to thicken the sugar
and water solution.
